Spurs would have several advantages over Manchester United for Dybala, above all that they are in the Champions League and indeed reached the Final last season.

Pochettino can also help La Joya to acclimatise and fit him into a more creative style of football.

Juventus director of sport Fabio Paratici is expected in London on Sunday for more negotiations with Manchester United, as well as with Manchester City over Joao Cancelo.

It’s possible the Bianconeri chief could also meet with Tottenham to see if there’s another Premier League option for Dybala.
