Milan have announced that former goalkeeper Nelson Dida will be the new goalkeeping Coach for their Under-17 youth team.

The 45-year-old Brazilian returns to San Siro in a new role, having played for the Rossoneri from 2002 to 2010.

“The new season has already begun for AC Milan's Youth Sector, with the Primavera and U18 squads hard at work at their summer training camp in Storo, Trentino until the 10th of August,” read a statement.

“Amongst the new arrivals in the Rossoneri Youth Sector coaching staff, there's a special return: that of Nelson Dida, AC Milan goalkeeper from the year 2000 to 2010, at the base of all of the Club's success in that period. Dida returns to his Club as goalkeeping coach for the U17 side.”

Dida played 302 competitive games in a Milan jersey, keeping 132 clean sheets.
