Sassuolo have resumed talks for Borussia Dortmund defender Omer Toprak.
Toprak was first linked with Sassuolo last month, but negotiations appeared to have stalled.
Nonetheless, Gianluca Di Marzio assures they are back on track and the club are confident of agreeing a deal.
The Turk is no longer first choice for Dortmund and could be set to replace countryman Merih Demiral in the Neroverdi’s backline.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side have already signed full-back Jeremy Toljan from the German giants this summer.
