Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly not sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani as they are pursuing Lazio’s Wallace.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Wolves were preparing a €30m bid for Rugani, but the Express and Star writes there is ‘nothing’ in the speculation.
That could be because LaLazioSiamoNoi – an offshoot of Tuttomercatoweb – is reporting the English side are trying to bring in Wallace
The Brazilian is represented by Jorge Mendes, who has several clients plying their trade at Molineux.
However, they would need special dispensation from the Premier League due to his lack of an EU passport and subsequent need for a work permit.
Nonetheless, Wolves have a good rapport with Lazio after they recently signed Portuguese duo Bruno Jordao and Pedro Neto from the Aquile.
Moreover, a fee of around €6m would have been agreed between the two clubs ahead of Thursday’s deadline in England.
