Danilo D’Ambrosio has agreed a contract extension, as his agent said Inter “refused to even negotiate” when offers arrived.
The versatile defender can play in a central role, as a full-back, wing-back on the right or left.
“There was just a chat with the director and then they proved how much they appreciate Danilo. It was a sign of recognition for the player and that was very pleasing,” his agent Vincenzo Pisacane. told FCInter1908.
“They will speak when it’s official and give a statement, but we are very happy with the fact he is so well appreciated.”
D’Ambrosio turns 31 next month and his contract was due to expire in June 2021, but the new deal will reportedly run to 2022.
“Every time I brought an offer for Danilo to Inter, they always said no. Every time they refused to even negotiate. Now Inter can really achieve something important with a winner like Antonio Conte.
“He already played in a centre-back role under Luciano Spalletti, so it’s not new, but he is learning a great deal and doing very well.”
