Milan looked to have taken Suso off the market after Marco Giampaolo called him ‘world-class’ following his performance against Manchester United last weekend.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport warns there is a ‘difference of opinion’ at San Siro as while Giampaolo wants to keep him, the Rossoneri’s board are ‘more inclined’ to sell.

It comes after the attacker’s agent Alessandro Lucci met club officials just yesterday.

In the meantime, Lyon are upping the stakes, with President Jean-Michel Aulas making his interest in the 25-year-old public.

The Ligue 1 club have already done business in Italy this summer, bringing in defender Joachim Andersen from Sampdoria.

La Gazzetta also suggests the Diavolo will only sign Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa as a replacement.

Suso has a €40m release clause in his contract, although the newspaper previously claimed he could leave for €35m.
