However, after the break North Korea international Kwang-Song Han got one back on a Nainggolan assist and Joao Pedro was brought down by Diego Reyes, converting the penalty himself.

Sampdoria certainly did not hold back in their 5-3 victory over Serie B outfit Spezia, with Emiliano Bonzazzoli, Gaston Ramirez, Gonzalo Maroni, Morten Thorsby and Fabio Quagliarella on target.

Brescia suffered their first pre-season defeat of the summer, falling 2-0 to Turkish club Alanyaspor with two goals in the second half from Djalma Campos and Tayfur Bingol.
