Inter winger Ivan Perisic is reportedly on the verge of a move to Bayern Munich, on loan with option to buy for €30m.
His departure has seemed inevitable since Coach Antonio Conte declared Perisic “can’t give what I want” as a wing-back, so was using him as a makeshift striker throughout the summer.
Now that Romelu Lukaku has arrived from Manchester United, Perisic can finally be cut loose.
According to Sky Sport Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sportitalia and more, Bayern Munich are close to a deal that could even be finalised this weekend.
The Bundesliga giants would take the Croatian on loan with option to buy at the end of the season for €30m.
Like Radja Nainggolan to Cagliari, this would allow Inter to get his salary off the books, which in Perisic’s case is €8m gross.
It would be a return to Germany for the 30-year-old, who already played for Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg from 2011 to 2015.
