The Chile international completed the transfer for a reported €10m plus bonuses and signed a five-year contract.

“I was convinced by the project here, which is very interesting. I thank Bologna and will keep everyone there in my heart,” said Pulgar in his presentation Press conference.

“I feel that I am a player who brings a sense of balance to the midfield. I have similar characteristics to Milan Badelj, but we can comfortably co-exist. I’ll learn from him and together we can help the team.

“I’ve grown a lot during my time at Bologna and also playing for Chile, not just in the Copa America. You inevitably learn when playing alongside Arturo Vidal and Charles Aranguiz.

“Now I can’t wait to start training with Fiorentina.”

Pulgar has chosen the Number 7 jersey with the Viola.

President Rocco Commisso’s right-hand man Joe Barone was in attendance and announced that Commisso’s company Mediacom will be the main sponsors on the shirt this season.

This will allow further investment in the club and strengthen the bond with America.
