Cagliari forward Diego Farias finally seems to be on his way to Lecce, on loan with option to buy for a total €6.5m.
According to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, the deal is practically done and will be completed over the weekend.
Talks have been going for several weeks, and although Sampdoria had shown interest recently, Lecce were always the favourites.
It is believed to be a one-season loan at a cost of €1.5m with option to buy for a further €5m.
That option will become an obligation if Lecce maintain their Serie A status going into the 2020-21 campaign.
Farias is Brazilian, but the 29-year-old spent his entire career in Italy with Chievo, Hellas Verona, Foggia, Nocerina, Padova, Sassuolo, Empoli and Cagliari.
He spent the last six months on loan at Empoli.
