Lecce have reportedly interrupted talks for Sassuolo striker Khouma Babacar, as SPAL now show interest.
The former Fiorentina forward is not part of Roberto De Zerbi’s plans for this season and hasn’t even been assigned a shirt number.
He had been on the verge of a move to Lecce, but La Gazzetta dello Sport now claim the newly-promoted club have backed out of negotiations.
Instead, SPAL are interested in picking up the 26-year-old Senegal international.
Babacar contributed seven goals with two assists in 29 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo last season.
