Roma will reportedly move for Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz if Patrik Schick leaves this month.
According to Matteo Pedrosi, Mariano is Roma’s first choice to replace Schick, while AS is claiming the 26-year-old has already given the Giallorossi the green light.
The track between the Lupi and the attacker is made closer by Monaco pursuing Leicester City’s Islam Slimani and the Czech being in talks with RB Leipzig.
Milan have also been linked with the Spaniard, who scored just four goals in 19 appearances for Madrid last season.
Prior to taking Cristiano Ronaldo’s No 7 jersey on his return to the Santiago Bernabeu, he netted 21 times for Olympique Lyonnais during the 2017-18 campaign.
