PSV forward Hirving Lozano is undergoing his Napoli medical ahead of becoming their record signing for €40m.

Lozano arrived in Italy yesterday afternoon and is now having medical checks ahead of signing a five-year contract, worth a reported €4.5m a season.

His presence at Villa Stuart clinic coincides with that of Davide Zappacosta, who is there for the same reason as he completes a loan move to Roma.

Calciomercato.com also understands Napoli are paying €40m in instalments for the Mexican, with 20 percent of that fee going to his former club Pachuca.

Nonetheless, the 24-year-old will become the most expensive purchase in the Partenopei’s history, while his release clause should be set at around €130m – far greater than the €90m they received from Juventus for Gonzalo Higuain in 2016.

The delayed nature of his transfer, however, means he may not make his debut until the second matchday against Juve on August 31.
