President Massimo Ferrero is in advanced negotiations to sell Sampdoria to a group of investors with Gianluca Vialli at the helm, it’s reported.
According to Sky Sport Italia among other sources, the talks are closer than ever to completion for €100m.
Both parties could even release a joint statement tomorrow confirming the existence of advanced negotiations.
A takeover would not be completed until after the transfer deadline on September 2, but the situation is progressing rapidly and believed to be closer than it has ever been.
Ferrero confirmed the club was for sale, but also insisted he would not be short-changed for Samp and the final price is reported to be €100m.
As for Vialli, he would become the new President of the club he represented as a player from 1984-92, winning the Scudetto.
