Verona have officially signed Club Brugge midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on loan with a reported €3m option to buy.

Amrabat underwent a medical on Wednesday and becomes Verona’s second signing in as many days following the arrival of Claud Adjapong. 

Despite turning 23 this week, he already has eight senior caps for Morocco under his belt.

Amrabat underwent a medical on Wednesday and becomes Verona’s second signing in as many days following the arrival of Claud Adjapong. 

Despite turning 23 this week, he already has eight senior caps for Morocco under his belt.

He was born in the Netherlands, featuring for Utrecht and Feyenoord before his €2.5m move to Club Brugge last summer.

He scored one goal in 29 competitive games for the Belgians last term and had also been linked with Bologna.

As well as his primary position of defensive midfielder, Amrabat can play on the right flank or as a centre-back.
