Fiorentina have reportedly increased their offer for Sporting CP winger Raphinha to €18m plus bonuses.
According to Sky Sport Italia, negotiations are set to continue next week, with confidence they can get the deal done by the September 2 deadline.
The bid has been stepped up from an original €15m to €18m plus performance-related bonuses.
Sporting Lisbon have also lowered their €30m asking price to €25m and the two clubs are edging towards an agreement.
The 22-year-old Brazilian plays on the right wing and is left-footed.
He only joined Sporting from Vitoria Guimaraes last summer for €6.5m, but his value has sky-rocketed after seven goals and five assists in 36 competitive games.
