Gary Medel is on the verge of a transfer to Bologna after agreeing a €2.5m fee with Besiktas, claim La Gazzetta dello Sport.
There had already been reports of negotiations for the Chile international, who is returning to Serie A following his time at Inter.
Now Gazzetta transfer expert Nicolò Schira maintains Bologna have sealed a €2.5m deal and the player is also enthusiastic about the move.
His agent is now working out the details of a two-year contract worth €1.7m per year plus bonuses.
Medel just turned 32 this month and has been playing as a centre-back at Besiktas since joining from Inter in 2017.
‘Pitbull’ wore the Inter jersey from 2014-17, while his other clubs are CD Universidad Catolica, Boca Juniors, Sevilla and Cardiff City.
