Former Milan right-back Ignazio Abate is leaning towards Brescia after turning down Olympiakos, Real Valladolid and an offer from Qatar.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the 32-year-old free agent is eager to remain in Italy.

He rejected proposals from Greek side Olympiakos, Spaniards Real Valladolid and an unspecified club from Qatar.

Abate is believed to be considering Brescia, which would see him reunite with ex-Milan teammate Mario Balotelli.
