New Coach Marco Giampaolo warned in his Press conference yesterday that he’d be relying on those players who had worked throughout pre-season training and had a better grasp of his tactics.

That means ruling out the likes of Ismael Bennacer, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao, Leo Duarte and Franck Kessie.

Lucas Biglia, Pepe Reina, Mattia Caldara and Theo Hernandez are injured and didn’t even make the trip.

It’s reported Suso will take his adapted trequartista position behind Krzysztof Piatek and Castillejo, while the midfield is made up of Borini, Hakan Calhanoglu in a more central playmaker role and Lucas Paqueta.

Udinese narrowly avoided relegation last term and Coach Igor Tudor is hoping to make the most of finally getting a pre-season to work in.

De Paul remains the star man behind Kevin Lasagna, but the only real question marks are between Sebastien De Maio and Rodrigo Becao in defence, then Ignacio Pussetto and Seko Fofana.

Probable line-ups

Udinese: Musso; De Maio, Troost-Ekong, Samir; Stryger-Larsen, Mandragora, Jajalo, Pezzella; Pussetto, De Paul; Lasagna

Milan: G Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Borini, Calhanoglu, Paqueta; Suso; Piatek, Castillejo
