Sinisa Mihajlovic is almost certain to take his place in the Bologna dugout against SPAL after completing the first stage of his leukaemia treatment.
Mihajlovic announced on July 13 that he had been diagnosed with leukaemia and was later admitted to Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Polyclinic, where he began his first cycle of chemotherapy.
He made a surprise return to the Bologna bench last Sunday as he watched his side draw 1-1 with Verona in their 2019-20 Serie A opener.
The Serb has since been released from hospital after 43 days of treatment and will now undergo a period of rest before starting his second stage.
Gazzetta dello Sport is among several sources that report the 50-year-old will lead his side out in their next game against SPAL on Friday.
