Napoli are ready to wait until Friday for Mauro Icardi to accept a departure from Inter or they’ll sign Fernando Llorente.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and FCInterNews, the Partenopei are still hanging on in hope that Icardi will acknowledge Inter don’t want him anymore, but so far he remains determined to stick it out at San Siro.
The Nerazzurri have told him in every way that he won’t get any playing time and is not part of their plans, while Napoli are offering €65m for the transfer fee and a contract worth €8m per year.
Gianluca Di Marzio claims the deadline is now Friday, as that is when Napoli have a meeting planned with Llorente’s agents.
The Spaniard is a free agent and his representatives also had a meeting with Inter today, but Sportitalia are confident they were there to discuss something else entirely.
Llorente has agreed a two-year contract worth €2.5m net per season.
