Roma check in for Brazilian attacker?

Roma are reportedly ready to complete a triple swoop of transfers with the signing of Corinthians attacker Mateus Vital.

Roma are closing in on deals for Chris Smalling and Nikola Kalinic, and Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports they are also hoping to add Mateus.

The 21-year-old can play on either wing or through the middle as an attacking midfielder.

He has represented Brazil at various youth levels and three goals for Corinthians in 55 appearances, while providing as many assists.

The Giallorossi have moved for him after being priced out of a move for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Taison.

He would come in as a double replacement for Stephan El Shaarawy and also the injured Stephan El Shaarawy.
