Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen says he has joined Cagliari to ‘relaunch myself’ for Sweden ahead of Euro 2020.

It was confirmed on Friday that Olsen had moved to Cagliari on a dry loan for the entirety of the 2019-20 campaign.

“I’m very happy to be here,” the 29-year-old told reporters.

“It’s an opportunity for me to relaunch myself in time for next year’s European Championship.

“If the Coach asks me to play on Sunday, I’m very much ready.”

Roma signed the Swede last summer for an initial €8.5m, as a replacement for Alisson.

However, he kept just four clean sheets in Serie A last season, making several high-profile errors, and was eventually dropped.

He will receive some game time in Sardinia as No 1 Alessio Cragno is currently out with a shoulder injury.
