Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian has arrived for his Parma transfer. “I’m happy to be back home, it’s an important opportunity.”
The 29-year-old touched down on Italian soil this evening and was greeted at the airport by Sky Sport Italia.
“I am happy to be back home,” said Darmian of his reported €1.5m move.
“It’s certainly an important opportunity to get back into the Italy team.”
Darmian is the third Manchester United player to move to Serie A this month after Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter.
“They are strong players and I wish them all the best. I’m sure they will have a great season.”
Torino sold Darmian to Manchester United in the summer of 2015 for €18m, but he only made 92 competitive appearances for the club over four seasons.
