“I’m sure Milan will be fired up and concentrated after their defeat to Udinese. We know the quality of their squad and there will be many spectators in the stands, so we’ve got all the ingredients for a great game,” smiled Corini in his Press conference.

The Rondinelle got off to the perfect start this season following promotion, beating Cagliari 1-0 in Sardinia with a penalty from Serie B Capocannoniere Alfredo Donnarumma.

“This team had a great start to the season and more importantly, we played real football. These are the prerogatives we’ve had since last season in Serie B and we won’t stop now.

“When you have the opportunity to ride the wave of enthusiasm, you have to stay on top of it. We won the first match and it should give us more confidence. We want to maintain this spirit to reach our objective.”

Brescia are a mix of Serie A newcomers and old hands, although Mario Balotelli continues to sit out the four-match ban left over from his Olympique Marseille career.

“Balotelli wears the Brescia jersey now and I consider him on a par with everyone else in the team. He is recovering and when he’s at our disposal, I will train him the way I do every other player,” assured Corini.

“I spoke to the President and we do still need players who are functional to the long-term project. Something will come, but for now we are concentrated on Milan.”
