Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons has officially joined La Liga new boys Granada on loan with conditional obligation to buy.

A statement on Roma’s website confirms Granata will be obliged to buy Gonalons for €4m ‘should certain clauses be met’.

It is a return to southern Spain for the 30-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Sevilla.

The Frenchman moved to Roma from Olympique Lyonnais in 2017 but went on to play just 23 times for the Giallorossi.
