Genoa have officially signed right-back Peter Ankersen from FC Copenhagen, while sending Romulo to Brescia.
Ankersen arrives on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.
Sportitalia adds he was recommended to the club by fellow Dane and new recruit Lasse Schone.
The 29-year-old scored one goal and provided eight assists in 47 competitive games for Copenhagen last season, helping them eliminate Atalanta from the Europa League playoffs.
He also has 23 caps for his country and replaces Romulo, who moves to Brescia on a season-long loan.
The 32-year-old is a versatile performer, capable of playing anywhere down the right or as a central midfielder, and is vastly experienced after spells with Lazio, Juventus and Verona.
