Paulo Dybala, Lautaro Martinez, Rodrigo de Paul and Joaquin Correa all played for Argentina but could not find the breakthrough against Chile.
Lionel Scaloni named a Serie A-heavy XI on Thursday evening, with Dybala, Martinez and Correa lining up in a front three and De Paul playing central midfield.
Despite the array of attacking talent on show, the Albiceleste failed to break down a resilient Chilean side captained by Inter new boy Alexis Sanchez.
Dybala, Correa and De Paul were all replaced in the second half, while new Bologna signing Nicolas Dominguez made a 23-minute appearance off the bench.
There was also no love lost between the South American nations as nine yellow cards were dished out in Los Angeles.
Next up for Scaloni’s side is a friendly against Mexico on September 11.
