Palermo set a new Serie D record with 17,000 fans flocking to the Stadio Barbera for their first home game after bankruptcy.
The Sicilian club went under this summer after several failed takeovers and was forced to start again from Serie D, the lowest division in Italian football.
Their first home fixture was a 3-2 victory over San Tommaso and it set a new Serie D record with an attendance of 17,000.
The Stadio Barbera crowd showed it intends to accompany the Rosanero all the way back to the top, just as Fiorentina, Napoli and Parma fans did before them.
