Francesco Totti could be reunited with ex-Roma teammates Daniele De Rossi and Nicolas Burdisso for the Superclasico between Boca Juniors and River Plate.
Burdisso [pictured] is currently sporting director at Boca and recently helped broker De Rossi’s arrival on a free transfer after he ended his 19-year-old association with Roma.
“Totti called me: he wants to come to La Bombonera to watch the match,” the former Argentina defender told CNN.
“He wasn’t the only one though: many want to come here to Buenos Aires.”
River Plate won the Superclasico in the Copa Libertadores Final last year.
The Buenos Aires rivals face off again in the 2019 semi-finals, with the first leg due to be played at La Bombonera on October 2.
