Arkadiusz Milik is expected to miss Napoli’s upcoming matches against Sampdoria and Liverpool as he continues to nurse a muscle injury.
Milik has been out of action since August 10 and appeared to be closing in on a return.
However, Sky Sport Italia and Sport Mediaset both report the striker will only resume training on Monday.
That rules him out of Saturday’s Serie A fixture against Samp, while he will not be fit enough for Napoli’s Champions League opener with Liverpool 72 hours later.
Lorenzo Insigne is also a doubt for the visit of Liverpool as he again trained alone on Wednesday.
Their asences could allow new signings Hirving Lozano and Fernando Llorente to stake their claims in the Partenopei XI.
