Eugenio Corini warns Mario Balotelli he “needs to raise his game if he wants to face Juventus,” but he’s still suspended as Brescia host Bologna.

“I have already told the lads our starting XI and tomorrow you’ll find out too,” the Coach said in his Press conference.
“We tried to bring in players who had characteristics that could prove useful to us and those who remained know there is more competition for places now. The break for international duty helped us to work with a deeper focus on tactics and we’ve already shown so far this season that we’ve got what it takes to be competitive.”
Balotelli is still sitting out the four-match ban he inherited from his time in Ligue 1, but Corini warns SuperMario has no guarantee of just waltzing into the starting line-up when he is available.
“Mario hasn’t trained very much. He needs to raise his game if he wants to play against Juventus. Alessandro Matri is training, he’s in good shape and we’ll see if he plays tomorrow or not.
“The trequartista is a fundamental role in the 4-3-1-2 formation, so we brought in Romulo and he already showed in the friendly with Frosinone that he has the right characteristics to handle the job.”
Brescia are up against Bologna, but Sinisa Mihajlovic will watch on from his hospital bed after starting the second course of chemotherapy this week.
“Sinisa has done extraordinary things already and is facing this illness with courage. We had a few disagreements in the past, but we cleared everything up. He is a Coach I always admired and I wish him all the best,” added Corini.
“Bologna are an aggressive team, have quality and are feeling confident right now.”
