Juventus will be without Douglas Costa for the next two weeks, but Miralem Pjanic should be fit to face Atletico Madrid.

Costa and Pjanic both limped off during Juve’s 0-0 draw with Fiorentina on Saturday.

The Bianconeri have now confirmed in a medical report that the winger suffered “a medium-grade thigh injury”.

It adds he will be reassessed in two weeks, possibly ruling him out of the Derby d’Italia with Inter on October 6.

However, the outlook is better for Pjanic as the Old Lady writes he avoided a muscular injury and trained alone on Monday.

Therefore, the midfielder should be available to Maurizio Sarri for Wednesday’s Champions League opener against Atleti.

Elsewhere, Danilo and Gonzalo Higuain have both been given the green light to take part at Wanda Metropolitano.
