Amadou Diawara and Nicolo Zaniolo should come into the Roma XI for tonight’s Europa League opener against Istanbul Basaksehir.

Paulo Fonseca promised to rotate his team, but his task has been made difficult by Diego Perotti, Davide Zappacosta, Chris Smalling and Cengiz Under all missing out through injury.

Nonetheless, two changes should see Diawara and Zaniolo replace Bryan Cristante and Justin Kluivert in defensive midfield and on the right wing respectively.

However, Nikola Kalinic must wait for his Roma debut as the striker is still lacking match fitness.

Basaksehir, meanwhile, have some familiar faces in their squad, including former Atalanta defender Martin Skrtel and ex-Milan forward Robinho.

The Turkish side are also coached by Okan Buruk, who played for Inter between 2001 and 2004.

Roma (probable): Lopez; Florenzi, Fazio, Mancini, Spinazzola; Diawara, Veretout; Zaniolo, Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan; Dzeko

Istanbul Basaksehir (probable): Gunok; Caicara, Epureanu, Skrtel, Clichy; Tekmedir, Topal; Visca, Aleksic, Robinho; Crivelli
