Lucas Biglia admits Milan’s opening day defeat to Udinese “saw a few doubts set in” and they are yet to recover after losing the derby to Inter.

The Rossoneri were beaten 1-0 at the Dacia Arena on August 25, and although they followed that with 1-0 wins against Brescia and Hellas Verona, the performances were never convincing.

Last night, they were soundly defeated 2-0 by their arch rivals Inter, although it could’ve been a significantly heavier scoreline.

“We lost sharpness after their first goal and then got more or less everything wrong from there,” Biglia told Sky Sport Italia.

“We wanted to bring home the points, because it’s been a long time since Milan won the derby. We simply have to do more than this.

“The pre-season training had been really positive, but then the loss to Udinese in the opening round saw a few doubts set in. We ought to be more relaxed and focused.

“We’ve got the quality, we just need to make some adjustments to concepts like possession and pressing.”
