The Bosnian got his head to Lorenzo Pellegrini’s cross with practically the last kick of the game to secure victory at the Stadio Dall’Ara, after Aleksandar Kolarov’s free kick and a Nicola Sansone penalty.

“At the end of the day, I think it’s deserved, especially as they told me the Bologna penalty was very soft,” Dzeko told Sky Sport Italia.

“We believed to the end, even after going a man down. We deservedly got the victory, but winning it like this at the last second feels even better.

“This was not an easy game, as Bologna are very strong, especially at home. We played our game and were just lacking the final ball in the first half.

“Everyone went crazy at the end. I am very happy for the team and the fans, who always follow us. We hope to give them a few more moments of joy.”

This was Roma’s third victory in a row, including the Europa League, with 10 goals scored and three conceded.

“We are a strong team and we want to keep going, trying to win every game we play. We believe in our football and this victory is a huge boost.”
