Milan were adjudged to have underperformed badly during their 2-0 defeat in the Derby della Madonnina, and Vieri agreed Inter were superior by some distance.

“There was no contest,” the ex-Italy striker, who previously played for both clubs, told Tiki Taka.

“We saw a great Inter performance, but after their bad Champions League match it was to be expected.

“It was obvious that they’d come out with great intensity, aggression, pressing and desire.

“Milan did almost nothing: they had just that Suso chance. If it hadn’t been for Donnarumma, Inter would’ve won by five or six.

“Lukaku scored a great goal, beautiful. Conte wanted him at all costs and was right to do so.

“Everyone expected a cross, but instead Sensi gave the ball to Brozovic, who scored with his shot.

“The fans are crazy: after the Champions League game, they all wanted the players to be sent away. Three days later and they’re the best again.”
