As Roma beat Cagliari 3-0 on Saturday and Atalanta host Udinese tomorrow evening, this is a head-to-head for the Champions League place.

Gennaro Gattuso decides to drop Capocannoniere candidate Piatek and instead start Cutrone in a 4-3-3 formation, moving Hakan Calhanoglu back to his role in the trident attack with Suso.

Paqueta returns from several weeks out due to muscular problems and goes straight back into the midfield, while Andrea Conti starts in place of injured Davide Calabria.

Piatek has scored 29 goals in 37 competitive games this season, including 10 in just 16 appearances for Milan.

However, the former Genoa striker has fired blanks in his last three games and barely registered a shot on target during that period.

Piatek has seemed increasingly isolated, so Gattuso hopes a battler like Cutrone could link up better with the midfield.

It is the first time Piatek has not started a Milan match since his debut as a substitute against Napoli on January 26.

Torino drew 0-0 with Milan earlier this season, so a victory here would put them level on points with the Rossoneri, but in front in fifth due to a superior head-to-head record.

Koffi Djidji is out injured with Simone Zaza and Daniele Baselli suspended.

Iago Falque returns after a long lay-off, but is only ready for a spot on the bench, so Walter Mazzarri returns to the 3-5-2 formation rather than a 3-4-2-1, with Alex Berenguer supporting Andrea Belotti.

Lorenzo De Silvestri does start with a protective mask, having fractured his nose last week.

Milan are unbeaten in Serie A against Torino since November 2001, followed by 11 wins and as many draws, home and away.

However, six of the last seven editions of this Serie A fixture were score draws.

Milan: G Donnarumma; Conti, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Kessie, Bakayoko, Paquetà; Suso, Cutrone, Calhanoglu
