Juventus will reportedly use midfielder Blaise Matuidi as a left-back against SPAL in Serie A tomorrow.

Juve have a crisis in the position as Alex Sandro is in Brazil following the tragic death of his father, while Danilo and Mattia De Sciglio remain injured.

Therefore, Corriere della Sera claims Maurizio Sarri will play Matuidi on the left of his back four when SPAL visit on Saturday.

The 32-year-old is left-footed and had a stint as a left-back with St Etienne, prior to joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2011.

Failing that, Sarri could switch to a three-man defence or promote Under-23 player Pietro Beruatto.

The Old Lady are already playing Juan Cuadrado – a winger by trade – at right-back.
