Cristiano Ronaldo made more Champions League history during Juventus’ 3-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen last night. 

Ronaldo rounded off the victory to help Juve earn their first Champions League win of the season.

The goal moved him to 128 goals, 16 clear of Barcelona rival Lionel Messi as the all-time top scorer in European competition.

He has also now netted in 14 consecutive Champions League seasons, putting him level with Messi and Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez.

Finally, he equalled Raul’s record of scoring against 33 different opponents in Europe’s elite club tournament.

Last night’s match marked the 16-year anniversary of Ronaldo’s Champions League debut – a 2-1 defeat to Stuttgart with Manchester United in 2003.
