According to Sky Sport Italia, the only remaining options are Iachini and former Albania Coach De Biasi.

“All I can say right now with certainty is that I would be very happy to return to Sampdoria for the rapport, the respect, the affection and the heart I share with these fans,” Iachini told Telenord.

“A wonderful relationship has been formed with this city and all the supporters. Sampdoria are in my heart, I cheer them on and wish them all the best in future.”

The 55-year-old had 31 appearances on the Sampdoria bench from November 2011 to June 2012.
