Gonzalo Higuain’s father claims the Juventus striker has “never closed his doors” on a return to River Plate.

Higuain was born in France due to Jorge playing for Brest at the time but began his career with River, and his dad would like to see him end his career with the Argentine giants.

“Gonzalo still has two years left on his contract with Juventus, but he’s never closed his doors to River Plate,” he told Ole.

“My children grew up at the club, so as a father I’d like them to come back.
