Ciro Immobile, Federico Bernardeschi and Francesco Acerbi are expected to start for Italy against Greece in a Euro 2020 qualifier.
It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Saturday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
Roberto Mancini has numerous absentees, with the likes of Alessandro Florenzi, Emerson Palmieri, Stefano Sensi and Lorenzo Pellegrini out injured.
According to the latest reports, there are some doubts still in every area of the team.
Lazio defender Acerbi is challenging Alessio Romagnoli of Milan for the centre-back slot alongside Leonardo Bonucci, with Danilo D’Ambrosio and Leonardo Spinazzola as full-backs.
In the middle of the park, Bernardeschi is pushing Nicolò Barella to complete the midfield with Jorginho and Marco Verratti.
It will be a doubt until the final minute for the centre-forward role between Immobile – who would be on home turf as a Lazio striker at the Olimpico – and Torino’s Andrea Belotti.
Considering the home advantage and Belotti’s three previous goals against Liechtenstein, it’s likely the Toro man will be preserved for Tuesday in Vaduz.
Federico Chiesa and Lorenzo Insigne seem fairly certain of their roles in the trident attack.
Italy (probable): G Donnarumma; D'Ambrosio, Bonucci, Acerbi, Spinazzola; Bernardeschi, Jorginho, Verratti; Chiesa, Immobile, Insigne
