Italy are expected to go on a tour of Qatar in March 2020 with two friendlies which could earn approximately €7m.
The Azzurri have already qualified for Euro 2020, so are starting to plan the build-up to next summer’s tournament.
According to La Repubblica newspaper, FIGC representatives will fly out to Qatar next week to discuss two friendly matches in March.
These would generate a lot of revenue, including €2m to host the games and €4.5-5m in TV rights.
Coach Roberto Mancini has asked to face tough opposition and Croatia are the favourites for this encounter.
There will be another two friendly fixtures to be played in Italy after the end of the Serie A season and before the Euro 2020 opener in Rome on June 12.
