Paulo Fonseca’s touchline ban has been reduced to one game after the Roma boss had his appeal partially accepted.

Fonseca was initially suspended for two Serie A matches after he was adjudged to have insulted the referee during Roma’s controversial 1-1 draw with Cagliari before the international break.

However, it was announced on Thursday that he would only have to sit out the Giallorossi’s trip to Sampdoria on Sunday, although that could be called off due to adverse weather.

The Coach will therefore be free to sit in the dugout when his side host Milan next weekend.
