Reports in Germany claim Inter are eyeing a January swoop for Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller.

Muller has started just three Bundesliga games this season and has made no secret of his disdain for the bench, although he has provided six assists in all competitions.

With that in mind, Bild and Kicker both write Inter are looking to bring him in this winter.

However, they would face competition from Manchester United, who are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements.

The Nerazzurri have a long history of German players in their ranks, including Jurgen Klinsmann, Lothar Matthaus and Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

The 30-year-old is renowned for his versatility, which allows him to play anywhere across the front line or as an attacking midfielder.

His contract expires in the summer of 2021 and that, coupled with his loyalty to the Bavarian club, could make him available for an affordable price.
