Franck Ribery says he is in “love” with surroundings at Fiorentina and likes working under Vincenzo Montella “very much”.
Speaking to the official Serie A channel on YouTube, Fiorentina’s newest No 7 spoke at length about his time in Italy so far.
"Serie A is a good League, there are many good teams,” explained Ribery.
“Everything is completely different from my past, both in terms of stadiums and fans.
The 36-year-old has started the season in top form for the Viola and won Serie A's player of the month award for September.
Asked about the rivalry with Juventus, he remarked: "It is always special. The atmosphere transforms it into a really important game, and it's fundamental not to lose it."
The Frenchman scored a stunning goal in the 3-1 victory over Milan at San Siro, receiving a round of applause from the Rossoneri fans.
"San Siro is a special place to play football. We had a fantastic game against Milan, and when I received the applause from the Milan fans it was an exciting moment."
Ribery had high praise for boss Montella, saying: “He is young but always close to the players. I like him very much.
"I love the culture here, the way you think. It is full of restaurants and bridges, and when the sun is shining it is beautiful. For me, it is difficult to get around.
“I am at the training ground a lot, and when I finish training I go home to rest and spend time with my family.
"This club has a great history, there are many great players and men: [Gabriel] Batistuta, [Roberto] Baggio and [Luca] Toni.
“The club has always believed in me, right from the start."
