Bologna President Joey Saputo has reportedly given the green light for the club to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic an 18-month contract worth €8m.

The former Juventus, Inter and Milan forward is currently under contract with MLS outfit LA Galaxy, but his contract expires at the end of December.

He has been linked with a return to Napoli, where he would once again link up with coach Carlo Ancelotti, and to Bologna, due to his friendship with Sinisa Mihaijovic.

The Corriere dello Sport today report that Bologna President Joey Saputo (who also owns MLS club the Montreal Impact) wants the 38-year-old at the club, and will meet Zlatan's wage demands, believed to be in the region of €8m for an 18-month contract.

Saputo would look to sponsors to help finance the deal.

Ibrahimovic played in Italy for a total of seven seasons, scoring 122 goals.
