Sampdoria coach Claudio Ranieri insists his team will "fight to the end, beyond the result," as they visit SPAL on Monday night.

"The fans need to know that we will always fight, all the way, beyond the result, like we did against Lecce," said the coach in his press conference.
Ranieri has two points from his opening three games on the Samp bench, but face a SPAL side that drew with Napoli at home two weeks ago.
"We know that SPAL are a difficult team, who have won all their points at home. They are an organised side and it will be very difficult to play here. But if we are attentive, we can get a result."
Despite propping up the Serie A table, Ranieri is happy with the attitude of the squad and the stoppage-time 1-1 midweek draw against Lecce.
"It was a fundamental point. This makes it clear that fighting to the end can bring home results."
Last season's Capocannoniere Fabio Qugaliarella has had a sluggish start to the season, with only one goal to his name.
"I find Quagliarella rediscovering his confidence, but he is a bit tired, so I will evaluate him."
Ranieri has been impressed with youngster Gonzalo Maroni, who was signed on loan from Boca Juniors in the summer, but needs to focus on solidity right now.
"In the world there are few types of these players, his moment will arrive, in time."
