Gotti: 'I don't want to be Udinese coach'

Interim Udinese coach Luca Gotti won on his debut, 3-1 away to Genoa, but reiterated he has no ambition or intention of taking the job full-time.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after their surprise victory at Marassi, the assistant manager of sacked Igor Tudor made it clear he isn't interested in the job on a permanent basis.

"I remain firm in my position. I don't want to be first team coach, but to help the technical choices of the coach. Maybe I will be on the bench next Sunday too, but I am not interested in the limelight."

Gotti even shunned compliments on Udinese's victory, instead dedicating it to the players.

"The compliments to me are not right, but to the team that are in a difficult moment and played with togetherness."

This was Udinese's fourth win of the season, and are currently 12th in Serie A.
